Artist Statement: The great oceans cover three quarters of the earth and regulate global temperatures, shape weather patterns and are one of the most important food sources for millions of people. We must protect them and pay attention to what the ocean is telling us.

11" x 17", collage including photographs printed on cotton, commercial and hand painted fabrics, polyester sheers, machine quilting and bobbin quilting with cotton threads and embroidery floss. 2007 International Quilt Association Journal Quilt project entry.
Cloth of Africa
The Cloth of Africa
61" x 77", Only a part of my vast collection of African prints were used in this original exotic design. Coloured beads add emphasis to the circles and ovals. Displayed at the American Quilter's Society show in Paducah, Kentucky in 2005 and at Pacific Northwest Quiltfest, Seattle, 2006.

42" x 42", 'Arabesque' relates to the decorative melodies of classical music. My ornate quilting designs incorporate curves, swirls and intricate geometric patterns. Fabrics are commercial batiks, appliqué and quilting with cotton and polyester threads, bobbin quilting with Razzle Dazzle. Displayed at International Quilt Festival, Houston, 2006. Included in Ricky Tims' Rhapsody Quilts, C&T Publishing.

16" x 17 1/2", Anemones are delicate flowers that wave and dance in the breeze just outside my studio window. Digital photographs printed on fabric, commercial and hand painted and stamped fabrics, machine quilted with cotton and silk threads. Included in the book "Innovative Fabric Imagery", C&T Publishing.

16" x 21 1/2", I collect 'whiteware' pottery and designed this piece using techniques described by Robbi Joy Eklow in her book 'Free Expression'. Commercial batiks, machine quilted with cotton and silk threads.
